Vision and Falls

October 18, 2012

When was the last time that you had your eyes checked?  Your risk for a fall increases when your sight declines.  Sometimes the correction is with surgery - cataracts.  Sometimes a change is needed in the prescription for your glasses.  And sometimes it is a simple as increasing the light levels in your home.

Remember when getting a new glasses prescription that you may need a considerable period of time to adjust to new eyeglasses and you could be at greater risk of falling during this time.
