PLEASE HELP SAVE HOME HEALTH CARE!

We need your help!

Home Health Care is under attack… we are being targeted for DOUBLE cuts! The Patient Protection and Affordability Health Care Act (PPHCA), recently passed by Congress, mandated cuts to home health care.  Now the Center for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) is proposing even deeper cuts.

The combination of increased regulations and funding cuts is estimated to cost VNA Community Healthcare more than $1 million dollars. This will force us to change the way we do business. Nonprofit agencies, like ours, that care for all types of patients are the most threatened.

How You Can Help

Please write, call, fax or email your congressman and ask them to support Home Health Care Access Protection Act (H.R. 5803; S. 3315). Cosponsoring this bill gives your Senators and Representative an opportunity to declare their support for home health care and to prevent CMS from implementing regulatory reductions of $1.5 billion to Medicare home health payments over the next two years.

We encourage everyone to contact Representative John Larson who sits on the powerful Ways and Means Committee. Both House and Senate members are on recess until September 12, so you can reach them at their Connecticut offices.

The more our congressional representatives hear from their constituents the more impact we can have. We greatly appreciate your help and attention to this urgent matter.
