Home Health Aides
When you are recovering from surgery or an illness you may need homecare assistance with routine tasks which you often take for granted. Home Health Aides are members of your home healthcare team. Need assistance bathing, dressing, cooking, eating, walking, getting in and out of bed, doing the laundry, or shopping for food? A home health aide may assist you with all of your daily activities while you meet the Medicare rules.
Your visiting nurse sets up a plan for your home health aide. The number of times each week that you will be visited by a home health aide and the homecare activities they will participate in will vary depending on your needs.
Home Health Aide services include help with personal care, such as bathing, eating, dressing, oral hygiene and toileting. Your aide can also assist with prescribed exercise programs and remind you to take pre-poured medications.
Home health aides may also help with some household chores. As long as personal care is provided during each visit, your home health aide can help with changing your bed linens, washing your laundry, and doing light housekeeping. They can also grocery shop and prepare meals.
Home healthcare is a calling for our staff. Your homecare aide will take pride in helping you keep your independence and remain in your home.
